The Canadian Meat Council is seeking a:
Director Regulatory and International Trade

Function:

Reporting directly to the Executive Director the Director Regulatory and International Trade is responsible for proactively meeting the regulatory and international trade policy and foreign market access needs of our membership. This is a challenging new role that will seek to fulfill the mission of the Council to advocate for the needs of our members to secure Canada’s global meat competitiveness.


Qualifications:
This position requires an experienced, self-directed professional with excellent analytical, leadership, teamwork, flexibility and communication skills. Effectively managing complex issues and relationships with government officials, and building and maintaining internal and external partnerships are all required qualifications.


In addition to the above skills you must:

• Have a university degree in Agriculture, International Trade Policy, Law or an equivalent degree with position related experience.
• Be fluently bilingual in English and French.
• Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the regulatory and/or international trade process working to reform unnecessarily burdensome and costly regulations.
• Have a relentless drive for continuous improvement and customer service.
